How Are You Getting Customers?
I am starting to realize that a lot of people really have no idea what marketing truly is.
People think that getting followers is marketing.
People think that posting their link in groups is marketing.
People think that DMing or Messaging their link to strangers is marketing.
Hate to be the barer of bad news, but that ain’t it.
You will always be struggling if you spend your time posting links to groups and participating in that Follow Me I’ll Follow You post in groups.
The truth of the matter is, Marketing is really Customer Acquisition.
Marketing is the things that you do that will bring customers to you.
Now, back in the day, the only way to bring customers was if you took out radio ads, or television ads, or newspaper ads. If you couldn’t afford those, you placed an ad in the Yellow Pages. Or you did a Direct Mail piece that you mailed out to people’s home which is basically what we call Junk Mail.
But today, it is easier than ever to reach millions of people all over the world who may be interested in your product. That’s because now, we have such things as Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. These social media sites people hang on them all day long and if they are interested in your product, they might just buy it.
IF THEY KNOW YOU EXIST.
With the advent of social media, you can now acquire customers, get them excited about your business, get them to spread the word about your business, and, if you do it right, you can basically print money on demand.
But in order to do that, you have to understand the Customer Acquisition, or the Marketing PROCESS.
There is a process for everything.
If you don’t take the time to understand HOW to acquire customers, you will go out of business with the quickness.
That’s why I started this movement, Marketing Secrets for Black Entrepreneurs, because we NEED to understand HOW to get customers so we can save our businesses.
